Facebook puts state media labels on Russian, Chinese, and Iranian news outlets

Facebook will start putting state media labels on Russian, Chinese, and Iranian news outlets. The company will also ban all ads from the more than 200 labeled outlets that target U.S. users. U.S. government-run outlets will not receive any such label because according to Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy Nathaniel Gleicher, such outlets have editorial independence.

And the BBC? Not only are they de facto State controlled but they helped cover up extensive child abuse.

Then they should also clarify who owns the corporate media (CNN, FOX, and all the usual suspects) and what their interests are in promoting certain stories over others.

But not the BBC, CBC and equivalent in Australia etc etc. which by their own definition is state sponsored news.
