Bentley has decided to cut 1,000 jobs in UK, which is about a quarter of its total workforce. The company, with manufacturing unit in Crewe, is expected to offer workers voluntary redundancy. It has restarted its production at its Crewe facility, but with only half the usual number of staff. Although Bentley global volume sales grew 5% to 11,000 cars in 2019 it has struggled with profits in 2020.
