The DOJ’s antitrust probe of Google has reportedly expanded to include its core product Google Search. This comes as the DOJ asked rival, DuckDuckGo, for detailed information about ways to increase competition in the online search market. DuckDuckGo has called for a detailed preferences panel on Android that would allow users to select a different default search provider.
Always good to see antitrust laws getting enforced and actually used somewhat. Hopefully this trend continues.
Go DuckDuckGo!
