Lawmakers of eight countries and EU form new alliance to counter China

A group of lawmakers from several democracies have formed the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, to push their governments to take a stronger stance on relations with Beijing, and to help counter the threat China’s growing influence poses to global trade, security and human rights. The members are: The UK, Japan, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Australia, the EU, and the US.
