Protesters, ACLU sue over use of force outside White House

Several protesters and the ACLU filed a lawsuit Thursday challenging the federal use of force to disperse a peaceful protest in Washington, DC, ahead of President Trump’s visit to a local church. The lawsuit names Trump, AG William Barr and other federal officials as defendants, arguing that the police had ’no legitimate basis to destroy the peaceable gathering’.

This won't hold up. Has soon as one person did any property damage or attacked a secret service member it justified any act they took to protect the president. In a more realized context for the ACLU to win they have to prove that every person who had committed any violence and therefore had proven a risk had left the scene.
