Brazil stops publishing its coronavirus death toll and case totals

The Brazilian government has stopped publishing its running Covid-19 cases and deaths in a move that critics call an attempt to hide the true toll of the disease. The move came after months of criticism from experts saying Brazil’s statistics are woefully deficient and in some cases manipulated. As of Sunday, Brazil had nearly 673,000 cases of the Covid-19 with 35,930 deaths, as per Johns Hopkins.

All the supposed statistics on the virus flying around are pretty worthless, as it's far too soon to do a proper analysis of most of it. The BBC does its usual hatchet job on Bolsonaro, which it deeply disapproves of, unlike the people of Brazil. It could be that he's trying to massage the figures or he could be trying to be more truthful and accurate it's too soon to tell.
