NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio plans to shift funds from police to social services

In the wake of the killing of George Floyd, New York City Mayor De Blasio has announced that he will transfer funding from the NYPD’s $6 billion budget to social services, such as child’s services and health care. De Blasio hopes that the move will start a shift of what the police actually do, and that minorities, particularly African Americans, will be better off with social services, not force.

How stupid are the people who want this? Seems to me like if they cut money the first thing to go will be training not guns or bars. Cops need more training right now not less.

Cutting a few million from a 6 billion dollar budget is going to change nothing.
