New York City begins phase 1 of reopening plan, Gov. Cuomo rides the subway

The city has begun Phase 1 of reopening from the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. Manufacturing, wholesale trade, agriculture, landscaping, and construction are allowed to resume. NY Governor Andrew Cuomo rode the New York City subway as part of the effort to ensure New Yorkers of its safety. Over 21,000 New Yorkers have died of COVID-19 but infection and fatality rates are down substantially.

Thousands of New Yorkers have been obliged to ride the subway daily for months. So, it is good the Governor is willing to join them one time, now that infection rates are down.
