64,000 sea turtles counted by drone at the Great Barrier Reef

The world’s largest gathering of green sea turtles was witnessed when an aerial view of Raine Island at the Great Barrier Reef was taken using a drone. Nearly 64,000 green sea turtles were counted by the researchers at the Raine Island Recovery Project. The species has been classified as being endangered and the number witnessed was larger than earlier expected.

I love turtles, they're wonderful beautiful creatures, might take a finger off depending on the type of turtle, but this is great to see, I hope most of the babies can survive.
