U.S. coronavirus cases hit 2 million mark as cases increase in the country

The number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. surpassed the 2 million mark on Wednesday as the cases in the country continue to increase. Thousands of new laboratory tests in some states have returned positive every day, with the pandemic changing from large cities like New York City and Chicago to toward smaller, rural areas. The number of cases also increased in states that loosened restrictions.
