Trump orders sanctions against ICC employees to halt probe of US troops

President Trump issued an executive order authorizing US sanctions against employees of the International Criminal Court. The court is involved in an investigation into whether American forces committed war crimes in Afghanistan. The order authorizes Mike Pompeo, in consultation with Steven Mnuchin, to block assets of ICC employees involved in the probe.

So now the president is saying the US troops are above International laws? I fully support our troops, however we should not turn a blind eye to the possibility of war crimes by creditable sources.

I don't agree with the Hague having the power to do anything to sovereign nations; it has no power or right to that. And I do not think the US should be playing world police, drone assassinating, or otherwise engaging in crimes.
