Defying Trump, GOP-led panel moves to strip military bases of Confederate names

The Republican-led U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee voted on Wednesday to require the Pentagon to strip military bases and equipment of Confederate names, monuments or symbols within three years, setting up a clash with President Trump, who opposes that change and promised a veto. The plan, proposed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, was adopted by voice vote with the support of some Republicans.

NAS Jacksonville will have to change its name.... Or, they can just claim it's named after Jesse Jackson! It's OK to be racist if you are a member of the "subjugated" class.

Don't totally strip it provide bonus money if the newly named base renames all its range latrines after confederate officers n stock em with confederate flag em blazed on their toilet paper. Of course made with aloe for healing chapped asses.. This way soldiers can wipe equally n enjoy the right to wipe without dishonor nor fear... N those offended have a safe zone n sort of post museum
