Double-lung transplant on COVID-19 patient in US offers hope for others

A young woman in her 20s has become the first person in the US to receive a double-lung transplant for COVID-19, offering hope for other critically-ill Covid-19 patients. She was in ICU of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago for six weeks on life support machine for her heart and lungs, and keeping her alive. But in June her lungs got badly damaged that a transplant became her only hope.
