Cuts to Portland Police Bureau on hold; City Council to vote on it next week

The Portland City Council failed to pass a budget on Thursday that included cuts to the Portland Police Bureau budget, however the Council plans to vote on it again next week. The City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly voted against the proposed city budget. For procedural reasons, Mayor Ted Wheeler also voted no, thus setting up the budget vote to be held next Wednesday.
