Texas Democrats ask U.S. Supreme Court to mandate vote-by-mail

On Tuesday, the Texas Democratic Party asked the U.S. Supreme Court to accept its case seeking to expand vote-by-mail in state for this year’s elections, saying the coronavirus pandemic is likely to discourage turnout at the polls. They are looking to overturn a Texas law blocking provisions allow voters to mail their ballots if they fear contracting the virus. They’ve lost in lower courts.
