$1 billion reduction in NYPD’s budget proposed by New York City Council

The City Council of New York has proposed cutting $1 billion from the NYPD’s spending in the fiscal budget of 2021. The council has said that such a reduction would limit the scope of the NYPD and show the council’s commitment ’towards moving away from failed policing policies of the past’.

Incredible intelligence is seen in this decision let criminals out because they might catch covid and then cut the police budget, the council clearly has 189 IQ

All these city councils reducing police budgets across the country underscore the complete lack of leadership as they pander to a mob that DOES NOT represent the opinion of everyone.

Honestly if the city councils are clearly undermining the rule of law. They should be arrested and jailed for breaking the court of law

LA police have a budget of $1.8 billion. NYC has twice the population, a smaller geographic area and less crime. Seems like they could get by with $5 billion.

The exact opposite of what should be done. The police need a lot more high quality, frequent and consistent training and psychological evaluations. It takes years to train to be a police officer in the UK. American Police get a few months.
