Missouri officer accused of hitting black man with SUV is charged

A St. Louis police detective who was captured on video apparently hitting a black suspect with a police SUV then kicking and punching the man was charged Wednesday with two counts of assault and armed criminal action. Florissant Detective Joshua Smith, 31, a nine-year veteran of the force, was fired on June 10, eight days after the violent arrest.

I'm not saying he was right, but vehicle strikes are a legitimate if not ungodly form of apprehension. But if you ever run me over I hope my femur pops your Goodyear's.

Was the dude armed or unarmed? Cause if he was armed then there could be a justification for that. If not. Convict him of the charges.
