Every Atlanta PD officer to receive $500 bonus

Cops in Atlanta will receive a one-time $500 bonus from a private foundation as thanks for working during recent protests. The bonuses will be provided by the Atlanta Police Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization. The foundation also plans to purchase 20 police cars to replace cruisers destroyed during protests. No public funding is being used for the donation.

But you can still get asked to go and confront an armed felon and then get charged without a full investigation for harming them whilst trying to up hold the law. Dunno about you guys, but $500 for being hung out to dry doesn't work for me.

Oh good, that will certainly make up for putting them on trial for their lives for doing their jobs. Problem solved.

A very nice thing to show appreciation for public servants at a time when moral is low while they struggle to weed out rogue cops

What the hell is a $500 dollar bonus gonna do for officers? Not a damn thing. The shit is about to hit the fan with the approaching 4th of july and they think bribing them with a $500 dollar bonus is gonna make them go back to work. How dumb.

I would still quite. None of that makes up for the blind eye the city has given them.
