Removal of statue of slave-owner founder of Rice University sought by students

The Black Students Association at Rice University has called for a ’Black House’ on campus and has also demanded the university officials remove a prominent statue depicting the school’s slave-owner founder. The BSA has said that the statue is a ’constant reminder’ of all that Rice University used to stand for earlier.

Then DON'T join an effing University which had a Slave Owner Founder. If you are worried about the long dead founder of the University you are in, rather than your education, then leave, and find your safe space you are comfortable in.
