Massive Covid-19 outbreak in German meat packing plant

A massive Covid-19 outbreak at a meat processing plant in northwest Germany has led authorities in two districts to impose new, temporary lockdowns on businesses and residents. More than 1,500 of the 7,000 workers at the ’Tönnies’ meat packing plant in the Gütersloh district have tested positive. Workers have blamed harsh working conditions and poor accommodation for fueling of the disease.
