Texas battles to keep coronavirus at bay

Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas has announced that bars will be shut down in the state again, on Friday, and restaurant dining will also be scaled back. The latest measures have been taken as the state has reported a surge in cases of the novel coronavirus.

Texan here. The word is that bars are shut down, restaurants are limited to 50% capacity, gatherings of more than 100 people need approval. Now all that is fine and dandy but enforcing it is a different story. Abbott has been resisting calls to shut down the State again as cases increase. This was a measured response.
