India opens one of the world’s largest hospitals to fight COVID-19

India has opened one of the largest hospitals in the world to fight COVID-19, as the country continues to record a daily surge in new infections. The Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre in Delhi became partly operational on Sunday, with 2,000 of its 10,000 beds available. The remaining 8,000 beds will be in use from Wednesday. India has recorded 559K cases with 16,757 deaths.
