Hong Kong Police arrest 53 amid fury over security bill
Hong Kong police arrested at least 53 people after scuffles erupted during a protest against planned national security legislation. The proposed law has raised concerns that Beijing is further eroding the extensive autonomy promised when Britain handed the territory back to China in 1997. China has said the law is aimed at tackling separatism, subversion, terrorism and foreign interference.
