Cirque du Soleil cuts 3,500 jobs to avoid bankruptcy

Canadian entertainment firm Cirque du Soleil is to cut 3,500 jobs after striking a deal to avoid bankruptcy. A group of investors will inject $300M in cash in the company to keep it afloat during bankruptcy proceedings. The plan requires approval from a Québec judge. The firm, best known for its touring circuses, had to pause production of all of its shows due to pandemic in March.

Good. Traveling entertainment shows, are disgusting. I've worked in hotels that serviced many different traveling performance shows. Disney on Ice, was the worst. They bring lice and Bedbugs. They smell like they literally never bathe. They're attitudes are horrendous, and they never tip. Plus they leave their hotel rooms looking like they had lived their for 20 years, having only been there for a week.

Sad! Been trying to set a holiday to see them for a long time, I hope they'll find a way back to the stage!
