Rallies in Minneapolis mark anniversary of Floyd murder

Members of George Floyd’s family, and others who lost loved ones to police encounters, joined activists and citizens in Minneapolis on Sunday for a march to mark the one-year anniversary of Floyd’s death. Hundreds gathered for the rally in front of the courthouse in downtown Minneapolis where the Chauvin trial concluded a month ago. Tuesday will mark one year since Floyd was killed.

So basically a gathering for hard criminals and their immediate family. Sounds heart warming. I can't help but think of the episode of Judge Judy with a young George Floyd. He and his father were both in court and his father was so disappointed in the direction of his son's life even at 17 when he had assaulted an older woman and stole her car getting into a wreck after the police chase. Judy asked George Jr. Who's fault it was that the car was smashed and he said it was the police's fault for chasing him. Judy turns to George Sr and asks him if he thinks the police were at fault and he very quickly says "no your honor". I wish he could have kept his principals later in life.🤷🏾‍♂️

"members of Floyds family, along with other violent criminal families, in which a family member has died by overdosing on drugs or died in violence that they caused, have gathered to protest the police, the only ones who actually protect them from themselves. Because black people don't deserve to be punished for crimes. ".. Thatd be a better headline

It will probably be a national memorial sooner or later. Rightfully so with the impact his wrongful death had on society.

Oh yeah, let's memorialize the violent drug addict and criminal and the riots in his name, that left over 30 people dead, resulted in over $2 billion in damages and included looting, arson, rape and the creation of mini-rogue states in the middle of American cities. I feel like I'm going to be sick.
