Supreme court rules against Louisiana law restricting abortion

The Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 against a Louisiana law of banning medical professionals from performing abortions unless they had admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, deeming it unconstitutional. The law would have left only one doctor able to perform abortions in the state. This decision was met with criticism and praise from different sides.

This is great news. Banning abortion doesn't decrease abortions, it just makes it more dangerous.

This sucks eventually America will be hit by a decline in population like many pcunteies have and with more abortions happening it will serve only to exacerbate the problem while providing only brief relief to those selfish enough to only think of themselves rather then their duty to nation

Your choice of headline betrays your bias. It should read celebrating a woman right to choose and control her body. This entire site is being tailored to and used by the self centered, fascist leaning far right, that seem to thin putting ideology before constitution and country is somehow an ok thing to do and not a selfish act of treason.

What Thomas is really saying is a state should have the right to limit a woman constitutional right to make her own choices about her life and her body. Apparently Thomas forgot that state laws must be in line with the federal constitution that the states adopted and ratified. That's a pretty basic legal premise to forget, or not understand. Perhaps it is Alzheimers and he should resign.
