Surgeon general urges widespread mask use

Surgeon General Jerome Adams implored Americans to wear masks. ’It is not an inconvenience. It is not a suppression of your freedom. It actually is a vehicle to achieve our goals’, Adams said during a briefing Tuesday. He singled out younger Americans, who have contributed to increasing case numbers in Florida, Texas and Arizona, among other states, urging them to use masks.

Then where is my government supplied mask that I'm required to wear to associate with people of my choosing? Oh right, I have to pay for a article of clothing to exercise my civil rights. How is that not infringing on my civil rights?

Without a vaccine, we will have to get to herd immunity. A certain number of us will have to get this before this works itself out like in New York. The prospects of an effective vaccine are not real good. We need to use common sense to minimize our risk. Social distancing makes sense. A cloth mask is not that effective if you are not doing the common sense stuff first. Politics has made us all nuts. No one knows that much about this virus, even the experts so they call themselves. The virus does not go away without a vaccine or herd immunity.
