Turkey’s top court to decide on converting Hagia Sophia into mosque

Turkey’s top court will decide on Thursday if the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul can be converted into a mosque. The 6th-century edifice, which was originally a cathedral, has been a museum since 1935. The Unesco World Heritage site was turned into a mosque in 1453 under the Ottoman rule. Islamists in Turkey have long called for it to be converted, but secular opposition have opposed the move.

Pretty sure the Turks turned the Hagia Sophia church into a mosque around the time that Constantinople became Istanbul.

If they do then the dome of the rock should be remade as the temple.
