FBI firearm background checks set another all-time record in June

The FBI conducted 3,931,607 background checks in June, associated with the sale, transfer or permitting of firearms, making it the highest month on record for checks since the bureau began keeping statistics in 1998. It’s a 70% increase from the same time period last year. The figures released for June also eclipse the previous record set in March this year, when the bureau conducted 3.7M checks.
