Florida Governor refuses to delay reopening plans despite rise in COVID-19 cases

Florida witnessed the highest daily tally of 10,000 new cases on Thursday. The state has seen 169,100 cases and 3,617 confirmed deaths. Statistics show that the new cases were up by 48% last weeks. Despite the alarming numbers, Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that they will not delay their reopening plans and stated, ’we’re open, we know who we need to protect.’
