The head of the French cybersecurity agency has said there would not be a total ban on using equipment from Huawei in the rollout of the French 5G telecoms network. The agency, however, added that it was pushing local telcos to avoid switching to the Chinese company. The decision is crucial for two of the country’s telecoms operators as about half of their current mobile network is made by Huawei.
I suppose that's better than encouraging Huawei to build towers and such.
France needs to grow a pair.
