UK’s finance minister plans tax cuts to boost COVID recovery

The UK is planning to give homebuyers a tax break and a cut in value-added tax for pubs, restaurants and other hospitality firms to give a boost to the country’s pandemic-battered economy, reported the Times. The paper said the decisions will be announced on Wednesday where the finance minister Sunak is expected to raise the property tax threshold to $623,700, four times its current level.
