Florida records 200,000 total cases of COVID-19

Exactly one month after entering Phase 2 of its reopening plan, Florida surged past 200,000 cases of the novel coronavirus on Sunday. Florida hit the 150,000 mark just five days ago, and crossed the 100,000 mark less than two weeks ago. To combat the spread of the virus, many popular beaches in South Florida have been closed or have restricted entry.
