Italian cabinet approves ’mother of all reforms’ to slash red tape

The Italian government approved a package of measures on Tuesday aimed at cutting the complicated bureaucracy in the country. The ’simplification decree’ has been touted by PM Giuseppe Conte as ’the mother of all reforms’ to help relaunch an economy brought to its knees by COVID-19. The legislation covers a raft of sectors such as public tenders and the criminal responsibility of public officials.
