Kanye West’s company got millions in federal small business loans

Kanye West’s clothing and sneaker brand Yeezy received a loan from the federal government’s pandemic rescue fund worth between $2M and $5M, according to data released by the US Treasury Department on Monday. With the funds, West was able to sustain jobs for 106 employees. The loan is considered forgivable if recipients spend the funds appropriately using the majority of the funds for payroll.

Small businesses are those with 500 or fewer employees and PPP is meant to protect those employees. Kanye used this program to help his employees, and even if he didn't, Mnuchin already said everyone who got the loan will be audited. I say if someone misspent the PPP money well good luck to you then because the IRS will stop at nothing to get that back. It's like watching some pick a lock to break into a police station.

The loan is forgivable? What? This kind of irresponsible spending will bankrupt our country. This is going on on a massive scale too.

As a business man, why wouldn't you? As for running for president, big mistake.
