Two-time world snowboard champion Alex Pullin drowned while spearfishing in Australia. Pullin, well-known as Chumpy, had been diving on an artificial reef off Palm Beach, Queensland, when he was found by a snorkeler. Pullin won gold medals in the snowboard cross event at the 2011 and 2013 world championships.

Chumpy is a top bloke. This saddens me immensely. Rip old mate.

Incredibly sad. I remember when Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray. Australia is a dangerous place, lots of freaky animals out there. RIP, buddy.
