Poverty trap to end only via debt reduction in some countries: World Bank chief
The President of the World Bank, David Malpass, said on Wednesday that the group of 20 major economies should permanently reduce the debt load of some of the countries which are highly indebted. He further said that a freeze should be extended on official bilateral payments of debt by the poorest countries of the world through the year 2021.

Brilliant idea! If we stop claiming their debt, and stop forcing them to pay back the money they borrow, maybe these countries can escape poverty! /S Seriously, this is like when the left argued that if people had free access to rehabilitation services there would be less addicts. Just look at how that's going for California, Oregon, and NYC.
