Gov. Ron DeSantis dismisses severity of the virus outbreak in Florida

On Wednesday, Florida witnessed 120 deaths due to the virus, ’a record high for the state.’ The state is seeing one of the largest virus outbreaks in the US with more than 4,000 confirmed deaths. Despite alarming numbers, Governor Ron DeSantis stated that Florida’s death rate is comparatively lower than other US states.

As to be expected with a population of 20+ million who are all trying to live life with things re-opened. I have been over reading statistics. The facts are facts: the virus sucks, we cannot simply fix it, and the economy crumbling is a worse fate. I hope to god or whatever being above, that this doesn’t become the norm when the next virus comes through. Call it nature’s way of thinning the population, or whatever you believe. Reopening was the only reasonable solution.
