Misery of Lebanon’s economic collapse darkened by blackouts

The misery in Lebanon caused due to the economic collapse is further darkening due to the blackouts in the country. People barely get electricity for two hours in a day, and the ruined economy prevents them from even being able to afford candles for long, let alone even think about a generator. The main hospital in Beirut has closed operating rooms and has delayed surgeries due to the power crisis

A shame I have good childhood friends who left South Africa to move back to Lebanon. Hope they are all okay and the country recovers.
