Italian PM Giuseppe Conte said on Friday that the country is likely to extend a state of emergency beyond its current deadline of July 31 due to the COVID-19 crisis, . ’The possible extension simply means that we are in a position to continue taking the necessary measures’ to face the epidemic, Conte said. There's a possible lesson here for the USA, provided it gets out of the election season bickering. Rallies during the virus, even protests, are not going to help flatten the curve or reduce the deaths.
