Over 150 Minneapolis cops seek ’duty disability’ for PTSD following protests

Over 150 police officers in Minneapolis have filed for disability claims. Many of them claimed having post-traumatic stress disorder due to their departure after weeks of crimes following George Floyd’s death. They have done so through the state’s Public Employment Retirement Association. Attorney Ron Meuser claimed that 75 cops have left the force or turned in paperwork and are planning to leave.

I would too if I was blamed for the crimes of some idiot. Then my city broke into riots and crime where I’m expected to protect ppl and property with my hands tied all while people scream about how evil I am. Then the city defunds my job and will likely not fulfill their pension obligations. When will ppl realize these aren’t soulless super-soldiers. Then are just ppl doing a tough job none of us stepped up for.
