Facebook a threat to democracy, according to president of NAACP

Derrick Johnson, the president of the NAACP, claimed that Facebook threatens the safety of Americans. He called the company a ’threat to democracy,’ according to reports on Friday. He made these statements days after Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, met with civil rights leaders in a failed attempt to end tensions surrounding the recent ad boycott.

Facebook seems to be playing safe at a divided time. On the one hand, it says its banned 250 white supremacist organizations from the platform, and on the other it continues to remain unfavorable of what civil rights leaders are hoping it'll do. Great business plan by Zuckerberg?
