Disney World reopens in Florida amid Covid-19 surge

Disney World parks in Orlando welcomed hundreds of people Saturday as the resort was reopened after a nearly 4 month closure. The crowds turned up for the entertainment parks despite a surge in virus that saw more than 15,000 new infections Sunday, a daily record for any US state. The site’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom opened Saturday, while Epcot and Hollywood Studios will reopen on July 15.
