First regional elections held in Spain since COVID-19 outbreak began

As Spain sees increasing cases of the novel coronavirus, ruling parties in the country’s Galicia and Basque regions returned to office in the first polls being conducted since the onset of the pandemic. People who had tested positive for COVID-19 were not allowed to vote, and voters wore masks and presented their IDs to officials who wore gloves.
