WHO sees record daily rise of 230,000 Covid-19 cases globally

The WHO said Sunday that the last 24 hours saw the highest jump in Covid-19 cases ever recorded worldwide, with the total rising by 230,370, approaching the 13 million mark. The biggest increases were in the US, Brazil, India and South Africa. The previous WHO record for new cases was 228,102 on July 10. Deaths remained steady at about 5,000 a day.

Most of the cases are being spurred by the US and India. While the US might still be able to flatten the curve, the trajectory that India is currently on, is extremely concerning. The ruling party over there is busy trying to de-stabilize local governments, from what I've heard. That's the last thing you should be doing when you are responsible for 1.3 billion people.
