GOP effort to force in person convention rejected by Texas Supreme Court

After officials in Houston cancelled the Republican Party’s in person convention in the city, citing COVID-19 related concerns, the Supreme Court of Texas rejected an appeal by the Party regarding holding the convention. The Court said that while the Party has a constitutional right to hold the convention, it does not have such rights under the agreement with the Houston First Corporation.
