Los Angeles and San Diego schools to remain online-only in autumn

California’s 2 largest school districts, LA and San Diego, announced Monday that classes will remain online-only in the fall, due to a surge in the Covid-19 cases.’There’s a public health imperative to keep schools from becoming a petri dish,’ said Austin Beutner, the LA school district’s superintendent. The decision came as Gov. Newsom announced several rollbacks of California’s plans to reopen.
