South Korea to spend $95 billion on green projects to boost economy

South Korea has planned to spend $94.6bn on a greenfield project to create jobs and boost economic recovery from the Covid-19 fallout.The plan envisages investment in smart grids to use electricity efficiently, promote remote medical services, a work-from-home policy for businesses and online schools based on 5G wireless networks, and tax concessions for telecoms companies who install the systems.

Good luck. Taxing money from the economy to spend on your selected winners isn't a great way to grow the economy. Any money that actually makes it back to your prefered business is going to be reduced by government and administrative overhead before the check gets cashed so you are starting with a deficit.
