Higher gas & food prices cause first rise in US consumer prices in 4 months

The cost of consumer goods and services rose in June to 0.6% for the first time in four months mainly because of higher gasoline and food prices. The cost of gasoline jumped 12.3% after oil prices continued to rebound from a multi-year low. Similarly the cost of food rose again, up sharply 0.6% in June as people are dining more at home leading to higher prices.
