Moon is 85 million years younger than previously thought

As per researchers from the German Aerospace Center, the moon is 4.425 billion years old, some 85 million years younger than previously believed. Based on the idea that the moon was host to a massive magma ocean, researchers figured out the new timeline calculating how the minerals that formed as the magma cooled, solidified and changed over time.
